What is Sports Therapy?
Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability.
It utilises the principles of sport and exercise sciences incorporating physiological and pathological processes to prepare the participant for training, competition and where applicable, work.
A Sports Therapist not only deals with treating athletes and sports injuries but anyone dealing with common complaints such as Back & Neck pain, Mobility problems, Muscular & Joint injuries, Postural issues and work related aches & pains. A sports therapist offers hands on treatment for those suffering with a specific injury, chronic aches or for those preparing and recovering from a sporting event.
Hannah qualified In 2008 and established her own business in 2010, she has extensive experience working with the general public to elite athletes and sports teams. At H.H Sports Therapy, the aim is to provide an individualized strategy to get you back to peak health. A treatment Plan will be devised on the initial consultation, and if for some reason,referral may be necessary, you will pointed in the right direction to ensure you receive the best possible care.
Hannah has experience working with elite athletes in many sports, and currently works with the Ospreys Academy Rugby team & Swansea University mens 1sts Rugby Team. Hannah Has also worked with The Ospreys Senior squad, Samoan International Team, Wales Women International Squad, Wales Rugby league u19s, Scotland International team during the 6 Nations during 2015, 2016 & 2018 & world cup in 2015. Hannah has also worked with many international & British Lions Rugby Players throughout her career.
